MARIANNE T. VERNACCHIA

As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist practicing in the Bay Area for over 22 years, my experience is vast, and I enjoy being able to help so many individuals, couples, children and teens in my practice at the Almaden Institute. I have served as the Clinical Director of the Teen and Family Counseling Center in Campbell, California where I learned first-hand about the pressures facing today's teens and families. Here, I created curriculum, counseling programs, education, and an alcohol and drug prevention program for elementary, middle and high schools across the Bay Area.  As a Clinical Supervisor I've trained and taught numerous Marriage and Family Therapist Interns about the gifts of therapy and how to support their clients. My recent experience has also included teaching psychology at the junior college level which was a ton of work, but very enriching. I hold two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Public Relations from the University of Southern California, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.

My areas of experience and specialty include:
Individuals and families struggling with addiction and substance abuse
Couples Counseling
Parenting and Family Therapy
